Just Checking...
I was just wondering if anyone ever looked at this page....If so, please send me an e-mail, and your student can earn a free Gold Star ticket to add to our weekly drawing.
Things have been progressing right along. We have been reviewing and reminding each other about our AQUIN CARES program. This program looks at how our school looks and sounds in all areas of our building. With this program we are trying to build a productive, respectful environment at Aquin. The students in third grade have been doing a great job! Beginning the week of August 26th, we will be moving into the stage where students are going to be held more accountably for their behaviors. Students who break with acceptable behavior procedures will be given "strikes" and will have specific consequences for the misbehavior.
I want to send a big thank you to all the moms who are volunteering to help with the classroom library. As time goes by, schools and teachers have more and more requirements added to our curriculum and responsibilities. This often means we have to cut some things that are not necessarily essential. Your help lets us continue some of the things that help keep our students motivated. It helps keep me motivated too. Thank you so much!
I am still looking for someone to help with the Scholastic book orders. It requires someone to take the student orders and consolidate them into one order on the Scholastic website. The only tools necessary are some time, access to the internet, and some time. There will be only 3-4 orders a year. Let me know if you are willing to help out with this program.

Please let me know of any questions and concerns you are having.
Third grade is a big transition, and sometimes students have some growing pains as they adjust.
I am usually at school by 7 a.m.(ish) and there until at least 4 p.m.
Stop by, e-mail, or call the office to set up a time to visit about your student.
