Famous Author Visits Dubuque

On September 18, 2010, Mrs. Vander Lugt and Mrs. Lensen traveled to Dubuque to listen to children's author Richard Peck speak.  He told about his life and where he gets his story ideas.  His humor and elegant speech made his presentation very uplifting and highly interesting.  Here we are after he autographed our books.  Check him out in the library!

Here I am, on September 19, 2010, with children's author Gary Paulsen as he signs my copy of Notes from the Dog.  Mr. Paulsen also shared his life story and shared many colorful stories from his life.  Be sure to check out his books in the library.
